• Writing submissions and AI session responses
• Vocabulary quiz results and session progress

We do not collect passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by Google OAuth.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide and maintain your daily AI coaching sessions
• Generate personalized writing feedback and band score evaluations
• Adapt vocabulary and tasks to your weak areas and level
• Track your progress and show historical performance
• Improve the quality and accuracy of our AI models
• Ensure platform security and prevent abuse

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We may share data only:

• With your explicit consent
• To comply with legal obligations or court orders
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of GainScore or its users
• With infrastructure providers (hosting, database) under strict confidentiality agreements

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data — encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token-based authentication, and access controls. That said, no system is completely immune to breaches, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data incident.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Session history and writing submissions are kept to power personalized recommendations. You may request full deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information via your profile
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your session and progress data
• Withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use and requesting account removal

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookie behaviour through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect Platform functionality.

8. Third-Party Services

GainScore integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth — for authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini API — for AI-generated coaching responses. Text you submit in sessions may be processed by Google's AI infrastructure.
• Railway — for hosting and infrastructure.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.

9. Children's Privacy

GainScore is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including where our infrastructure providers operate. We ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
